Mission. Our mission is to diagnose the cause of your pain so as to help you live and work pain free. Conditions. Some of the conditions which we help to resolve are pain, numbness, and/or tingling localized to the:
Other problems that may benefit from our evaluation include those associated with the shoulder, hands, hips, and feet. Many of the patients seen have been diagnoses with problems such as a “pinched nerve” in the neck or back. Such problems are most often associated with disc bulges and herniations. However, did you know that not all disc bulges and hernations are painful? It is possible for a disc to look bad on an x-ray, MRI or CT, but not actually be causing a problem. Even if the disc is the cause of the pain, in your case there may more conservative options to treat the pain that are non-surgical. Pain generators in the neck and back are not limited to nerves and discs. There are other joints in the spine that can be painful, such as facet joints. Pain can also be associated with muscles, ligaments and tendons. More often than not, several of these causes overlap. For this reason it is important to unravel and identify multiple aspects of your problem. Even if you already had surgery, there may be parts of the original problems that are still simply inflamed, even if the surgery was successful. In many cases as the body is responding to changes from the surgery other joints, muscles, tendons and even nerves can also get irritated. Dr. Glick can help identify these problems so that they can be treated. |
